Generic certification in investment matters.
If you currently work for an AFORE or SIEFORE and wish to obtain Certification, in this section you will find the information you need for this process.
According to the GENERAL PROVISIONS ON FINANCIAL MATTERS OF RETIREMENT SAVINGS SYSTEMS and Annex J thereof, issued by CONSAR , there is an obligation for active Afore and Siefores officials to be certified, to prove their general knowledge in investment matters to perform the functions they perform.
CONSAR , the regulatory and supervisory body for the Retirement Savings System, states through reference letter No. D00/300/0640/2016 , issued on September 23, 2016, that those who pass the "Exam for Generic Certification in Investment Matters" for Executives and Controllers of Afores and Siefores, designed by the Mexican Stock Exchange, will comply with the provisions of said provisions with respect to the General Certification in Financial Matters.
Aim
That officials prove their knowledge of investments in order to perform the functions they perform.
Mandatory Documentation
- Copy of proof of payment.
- Official Identification (INE, Passport, Professional Certificate or Driver's License). *NOTE: the official identification must be valid.
*NOTE: Entries will only be accepted in PDF format. .png, .jpeg, .jpg, .giff, or similar formats will not be accepted.
Policies for certification and registration
- The Certification is valid for 2 years, counting from the date on which the exam was passed.
- The applicant may cancel or modify his/her attendance at the Certification Exam, in accordance with the following:
* 6 business days prior to the exam, free of charge .
* 5 to 3 business days prior to the exam, 50% of the exam cost.
* 2 business days prior to the exam, 100% of the exam cost.
- If the candidate does not show up for the exam on the reserved date, he/she will have to restart the process by paying a new registration fee.
- The exam will be administered at the time established by the Bolsa Mexicana School.

- Minimum passing gradeThe minimum passing grade is 6.00 for the final average (on a scale of 10.00 points). If you do not obtain the minimum grade, you must take the exam again.
- The applicant may choose the exam modality: In person at the facilities designated by Escuela Bolsa or Online, through the system determined by Escuela Bolsa.
- They must be presented with:
*Financial or Scientific Calculator (use of mobile devices is not permitted).
*Pencil, pen (black or blue) and eraser.
